• the frame

Minigrab 225 -400 -500

     Sampling size 225, 400 or 500 cm²

including safety wire preventing loss of corer in case of cable fracture within the corer.

The complete box corer consists of the following main parts:

• 1 wooden palette for transporting the box

The boxes, 150 x 150 mm, 200 x 200 mm or 224 x 224mm, are made of stainless steel 1.4571. The steel spade is hot galvanised, including rubber sealed plate.

Multiple Corer for Undisturbed Sediment Sampling

     Not so high and wide - for better and easier deployment
also on smaller research vessels

The framework is made from galvanised steel piping. It has six supporting legs, the length of which can be adjusted, and it can easily be dismantled into its component parts.

The cylinder, which is hollow, is made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel. The head of the multiple corer is designed for different numbers of core tubes. The polyurethan-seals are rust-resistant 1.4571 steel.

The heads for sampling can be ordered in different designs according to your needs.

The most common designs are listed below but also a design according to your request is possible.

All constructional and functional elements are made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel.

Head Version MUC 8/100

The head holds 8 core tubes made of 100 x 2.5 transparent unbreakable PC, 610 mm long, inner diameter 9.5 cm. The polyurethan-seals are made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel. 8 extra spare core tubes will be delivered. 16 rubber stoppers for 100mm tubes are included

Head Version MUC 10/100

The head holds 8 core tubes made of 100 x 2.5 transparent unbreakable PC, 610 mm long, inner diameter 9.5 cm. The polyurethan-seals are made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel. 10 extra spare core tubes will be delivered. 20 rubber stoppers for 100mm tubes are included.

Head version MUC 12/100

The head holds 12 core tubes, made of 100 x 2.5 transparent, unbreakable PC, inner diameter 95 mm and 610 mm long. All constructional and functional elements are made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel. The plolyurethan-seals are made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel. The equipment is supplied with 24 core tubes, all made of 100 x 2.5 mm transparent unbrea-kable PC, 610 mm long, inner diameter 95 mm. 24 rubber stoppers are included.

Mini-Multiple Corer MC 400, 600 or 800

The framework is from hot galvanised steel. The head holds either 4, 6 or 8 core tubes, made of 100 x 2.5 mm transparent, unbreakable PC, 410 mm long. 4, 6 or 8 extra core tubes and 8, 12 or 16 rubber stoppers will be delivered with the gear. The top and bottom end caps of each tube are made of rust-resistant 1.4571 steel with polyurethan-seals.

The weight of the assembled mini-multiple corer is about 200 - 300 kg and easy to handle on small ships.

The gravity corer

For sediment sampling from the aquatic environment we offer the gravity corer with a tube. The framework for the lead weight alternatively also be equipped with a box corer or a rock corer. The single components for successful sampling like, boxes, tubes, tube connectors, liner, core catcher or cutting edges as well as a transport frame for the lead weight for all three types can also be provided.

Optional the framework for the lead weights can be equipped either with the online OKTOPUS Video-Telemetry-System or different sensors according to our customers requests.
